Like most students, we moved a lot — and after enough moves, our couch had seen better days. We figured we’d try to fix it ourselves, so we borrowed a machine from a friend and started reading everything we could find about fabrics and stains.
What surprised us was how much the technique matters. The right method on the right fabric makes a bigger difference than any product does. Our couch came out looking genuinely new, and we were hooked.
That’s how Looma started — two Bay Area students who got a little obsessed with doing this properly, and decided to do it for other people too.

Most couches take about 1–1.5 hours. Larger sectionals can take 2–2.5 hours depending on size, fabric, and condition. We'll give you a time estimate with your quote.
Most upholstery dries within approximately 8–12 hours, depending on the fabric, airflow, humidity, temperature, and how much moisture the material retains.
We treat many common stains like food, drinks, and pet accidents. Results depend on the fabric type, how old the stain is, and what caused it. We never overpromise — we'll always tell you honestly what to expect before we begin.
Plans change — that's okay. If you need to reschedule or cancel, just let us know ahead of time and we'll find a new time that works for you.
Just clear small items off the couch and make sure we can access the piece. We handle the rest. Let us know in advance if anything needs special care.
